Grilled Chicken

I am very happy to share this, because its my husbands recipe. Every Saturday night its prepared at home and it’s a feast for all of us. I just love this because of  2 reasons, one it’s absolutely delicious and second when my husband is cooking it’s a rest for me.  Try it out you will really love it.

Grilled Chicken Recipe

 Ingredients:

  • Chicken – 500g (cut into big pieces)
  • Butter – 2 tbsp

To Marinate:

  • Curd – 2 tbsp
  • Chilli powder – 2 tsp
  • Kashmiri  chilli powder – 2 tsp
  • Ginger  garlic paste – 4 tsp
  • Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
  • Salt

Method:

Clean the chicken pieces and squeeze it to remove all water

Make slits on the chicken pieces

Mix all the ingredients to marinate. Add little water into it and make it to a paste.

Add the chicken pieces into it and keep it in the fridge for about 2 hours ( the more you keep its better)

Preheat the oven to 180C.

Place the chicken pieces in the middle rack of the oven ( We like the chicken pieces to be moist, so we place it in a tray, if u want it to be dry you can place it over the  griller)

Reduce the oven temperature to 160C

Turn the chicken pieces upside down every 10 min and apply butter on it.

Continue to grill until chicken pieces turn brown in color and is completely cooked. (It takes approx 30 min for the same, but it can vary depending on the oven temperature)
