Strawberry Cake


Strawberry Cake Recipe


  • All purpose flour – 1 cup
  • Baking powder – 1.5 tsp
  • Oil – 2/3 cup
  • Sugar – 1 cup
  • Egg – 2
  • Lemon essence – ½ tsp
  • Pink food color – few drops
  • Strawberry – 200g


Method: (With Step-by-Step Pics)


Preheat oven to 180 degree. Line a baking pan with butter paper and keep it ready



Roughly cut the strawberry and take it in a blender



Coarsely grind it and keep it aside



Whisk together in a bowl all purpose flour and baking powder (dry ingredients)



In a bigger bowl, whisk together oil and sugar in high speed. Add egg one at a time and mix well in high speed. Add lemon essence and pink food color and mix



Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture little at a time and mix in medium speed



Add the strawberry



Mix so that everything is combined



Pour batter in prepared cake pans and bake for approx. 45 to 50 minutes.



Test for doneness by inserting a tooth pick in the center of the cake and it should be dry when taken out. Allow the cake to cool. Enjoy!!!

      Yes you can replace lemon essence with lemon juice. Use concentrated lemon juice. Its better to add pink color, else color of cake will be pale pink only. Happy Baking!!!!!

      Thanks 🙂 I use the same recipe when i need to do cake decoration with fondant. But i always put a thin layer of fondant as people don’t prefer the taste of fondant much. Give it a try, i am sure you will love it 🙂
