Ginger Garlic Paste

 

Ginger Garlic Paste

 Ingredients:

  • Ginger – 100g
  • Garlic – 100g
  • Oil – ¼ Cup

(Note: 1 Cup = 250ml)

 

Method:

Take equal potion of ginger and garlic

 

Remove the skin and roughly chop ginger

 

Remove the skin of garlic

 

Take both ginger and garlic in a blender

Grind the same for a min or two

 

Add oil. ( You can vary the amount of oil you are adding. If you want paste to be thick reduce the amount of oil)

 

Grind again till it becomes to a smooth paste. Transfer the same to a dry air tight container and keep in the fridge. Use when required.

  1. I made garlic paste once by adding water and salt. It turned green in an hour even after keeping in fridge. So adding oil will prevent the colouring?

    • Dear Mridula,
      When we add oil and make ginger garlic paste the color changes too, but little only. I took the photo next day after preparing it. Another option is to add little turmeric may be 1/4 tsp to avoid change of color. Its advisable not to make ginger garlic paste with water as it may get spoiled fast.
