Chicken Manchurian Recipe
Ingredients: (Serves 3-4)
- Boneless Chicken – 350g
- Spring Onion – 4-5 stalks (white and green part chopped separate)
- Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
- Green chilli – 1 (finely chopped)
- Kashmiri Chilli powder – ½ tsp
- Soya sauce – 1 Tbsp
- Chilli sauce – 1 Tbsp
- Tomato sauce – 1 tbsp
- Warm water – 1/3 cup
- Corn flour – 1 tsp
- Lukewarm water – ¼ cup
- Oil (for frying)
- Salt
Egg Batter:
- Egg white – 2
- Corn flour – 2 tbsp
- Maida – 1 Tbsp
- Kashmiri Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
- Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
- Soya sauce – 1 tbsp
- Salt
Method: (With Step-by-Step Pictures)
Cut chicken pieces into small cubes.
Mix all the ingredients of egg batter. Mix well so that no lumps are there.
Dip chicken pieces in the batter and fry it in low-medium heat until it becomes golden brown in color.
Once chicken is fried remove the excess oil from the pan and keep only 2-3 Tbsp of oil.
Add the chopped white part of spring onion and sauté till it becomes soft
Add ginger garlic paste and green chilli and sauté for a min
Add all the sauces, kashmiri chilli powder and mix well.
Add fried chicken pieces, salt and mix well.
Add 1/3 cup of warm water and cook with the pan covered in medium flame for 5-6 min. Give a stir in between.
Add 1 tsp of corn flour in luke warm water and mix well. Add it to the pan and mix well.
Cook for another 4-5 min stirring in between. The curry thickens by adding corn flour
Garnish with the green part of spring onion. Serve hot.
