Besan Ladoo Recipe
Ingredients: (Makes 10-12 ladoos)
- Besan – 1 cup
- Ghee – 1/3 cup (melted)
- Cashew – 1 ½ Tbsp
- Powdered Sugar – 1/2 cup
- Cardamom powder – ¼ tsp
(Note: 1 cup = 250 ml
Vary the amount of sugar as per your sweet level)
Method: (With Step-by-Step Pictures)
Cut the cashews into small pieces. Heat 1 Tbsp of ghee in a pan and fry the cashews and keep it aside.
Roast the besan in the pan in low-medium flame for 15 mins or until its starts to become golden brown in color.
Keep stirring continuously and make sure that the besan doesn’t get burned. Note the color difference after 15 mins of roasting.
Add ghee and fry for another 5 mins. Switch of the stove.
Add cashews and cardamom powder and mix well.
Remove the pan from the stove and add powdered sugar and mix well. Do a taste test for sugar.
Make it to ladoos when the mixture is still warm. . Also melt little ghee and keep it in your side. If you are finding it difficult to make it to small balls add this ghee little at a time and make ladoos.
You need to make ladoos when its warm, otherwise it will dry and you will find it difficult to make ladoos.
