Baby Corn Masala Recipe
Ingredients:
- Baby Corn – 200g
- Green Peas – 50 g (I used frozen ones)
- Cumin seeds/Jeera – ½ tsp
- Cardamom – 2
- Onion – 1 medium sized
- Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
- Coriander powder – 1 tsp
- Garam masala – ½ tsp
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Kashmiri /Mild chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Kasuri methi – ½ tsp
- Tomato – 1
- Water – 1 cup
- Fresh Cream – ¼ cup
- Coriander leaves
- Salt
- Oil
- Ghee – 1 tsp
(Note: 1 Cup = 250 ml
Vary the amount of chilli as per your spice level)
Method: (With Step-by-step pics)
Cut the baby corn into medium sized pieces and keep it ready. Heat oil in a pan and add jeera and cardamom. Add sliced onion
Saute until onion becomes golden brown in color. Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for another 2-3 mins.
Add tomato and cook until it’s soft.
Reduce the flame and add all spice powders and sauté for a min or two.
Remove it from the pan and allow it cool down and make it into a smooth paste with the help of blender.
Add the masala paste, water, kasuri methi into the pan and mix well.
Add baby corn and mix well
Add peas and mix well. Cover and cook until everything is cooked well.
Reduce the flame and add fresh cream and cook for another 2-3 mins
Switch of the stove. Pour 1 tsp of ghee on the top. Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot!!!!
