Aloo Matar (Potato Peas Dry Recipe)
Aloo Matar Recipe
Ingredients: (Serves – 3-4)
- Potato – 2 medium
- Frozen or Fresh Peas – ¾ cup
- Oil – 3 Tbsp
- Jeera – ½ tsp
- Onion – 1 small
- Green Chilli – 2
- Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
- Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
- Garam masala – ½ tsp
- Ginger garlic paste – 3/4 tsp
- Salt
Method:
- Remove the skin of potato, and cut into small pieces
- Add ½ cup water, salt and pinch of turmeric powder and pressure cook the same. Go for one whistle and immediately remove from stove.
- Heat oil in a pan and splutter jeera
- Add sliced onion, green chili and saute till onion becomes soft
- Add chopped ginger garlic paste, all spice powders and saute for a min.
- Add cooked potato pieces, peas and mix well. Keep the pan covered and cook for 8-10 min in medium flame or till its is combined well and is almost 80% dry. You can garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot
