Stuffed Egg Buns Recipe
Ingredients: (Makes 8 Buns)
For the Buns:
- Instant dry yeast-1/2 Tbsp
- Sugar – 1 tsp
- Luke warm water-1tbsp
- Milk-1/3 cup
- Oil-1/4 cup
- All purpose flour-1 ½ cup
- Baking powder – ¼ tsp
- Sugar-2 Tbsp
- Salt – 1 pinch
- Butter – 2 tsp
(Note: 1 cup = 250 ml
You can use stuffing of your choice. I used egg stuffing. Egg stuffing recipe here)
Method: (With Step-by-Step Pictures)
Take luke warm water and add sugar and yeast in to it
Mix well so that everything gets combined well and allow it to rest for 15 mins
In a bowl mix together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt
Add yeast sugar mixture to it and add milk little at a time and start mixing
Add oil and mix well so that it forms a smooth dough. Knead it well for couple of minutes. The more the better. Apply oil to your palm if its sticking (Vary the amount of milk till u get a smooth dough)
Take little oil in your hand and brush over the dough so that it gets covered with oil all over. Keep it aside till it doubles in volume (for me it took almost 1 ½ hr)
Knead it again for few minutes and divide into 8 small balls
Flatten each ball and fill it with your stuffing. (I used egg stuffing. Recipe here)
Pull the edges towards center, seal it and reshape it to balls and place it the sealed side on the baking tray
Preheat the oven to 180 degree. Bake in the middle rack for 15-20 mins or till the top of the bun starts to become golden brown. Brush melted butter on the top once its baked. Allow to cool down. Serve and enjoy!!!!

Hey..this looks really good..i was wondering if i made it in the night..will stay fresh for next day to serve directly or should i have to warm it before serving

It better to warm it and serve if using next day. Microwave warming also works fine.
