Mix all the ingredients to marinate. Add sliced fish into it and keep it in the fridge for half an hour.
Heat oil in a nonstick pan and roast the fish
Roast until its light brown in color. Remove it from the pan
Take the ingredients for garnishing. Heat oil/ghee in a pan and fry onion until its light brown in color. Remove it from pan and fry cashews and raisin. Keep it aside.
To the same pan add sliced onion and sauté till onion turns golden brown in color
Add sliced tomato and cook till it becomes soft.
Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for a min or two. Add all the spice powder and sauté it for 2-3 mins
Beat the curd well. Reduce the flame and add curd and mix well. Switch of the stove. Masala part is ready.
Now take a pan and brush it with ghee

Spread half of the cooked rice on top. Place some fried onion, cashew, raisin and corianderleaves, mint leaves and lemon slices. Add 2 tsp of ghee also
Add the saffron to the milk. Add 2-3 drops of yellow food color also. Pour half of the milk over the rice
Repeat the layering step
Masala, fried fish and rice is layered till top. Place the remaining ingredients to garnish on top and pour remaining milk and ghee
Cover the pan with a tight lid. You can use a cloth also to keep the lid tight. Heat a tawa and place the biriyani vessel on top of it. Reduce the flame to minimum and cook for 15-20min.
