Crispy Chicken Strips

Crispy Chicken Strips Recipe

 Ingredients: (Serves 3)

  • Boneless Chicken – 250g
  • All purpose flour – 1/3 cup
  • Egg – 1
  • Chicken Spice/Masala – 1 tsp
  • Milk – 1/3 cup
  • Bread Slices – 3
  • Oil – for frying
  • Salt

 To Marinate:

  • Chilli Powder – ¼ tsp
  • Pepper powder – ¼ tsp
  • Turmeric powder – 1 pinch
  • Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
  • Vinegar – 1 tsp
  • Salt

 

(Note: 1 Cup = 250 ml. Vary the amount of chilli as per your spice level.

If you are using maida instead of all purpose flour take 1 Tbsp less and mix it with 1 Tbsp of cornflour

I used Robertsons Chicken Spice. This gives a special taste for the coating. You can add spice of your choice.)

 

 

Method: (With Step-by-Step Pictures)

Cut the boneless chicken into 1 ½ inch long thin pieces

Take all the ingredients to marinate

Mix well and keep the marinated chicken for 1 or 2 hrs

Roughly cut the bread slices and take it in a blender

Powder it to make fresh bread crumbs (Make sure you make fresh bread crumbs itself as it helps to make chicken strips very crispy)

Take all purpose flour in a bowl

Add beaten egg

I used Robersons chicken spice.

Add chicken spice and salt

Add milk and mix well to form a smooth batter. (The batter should be such that when u dip the chicken pieces there should be a coating of the batter on the chicken pieces. Vary the amount of milk accordingly)

Dip the marinated chicken pieces in batter prepared and in bread crumbs

Roll the chicken pieces in bread crumbs.

Heat oil in a pan

Fry the chicken pieces

Fry in medium-high flame turning in between until its golden brown in color.

Remove the excess oil in a paper towel and serve hot.
