Chicken Tawa Kebab

Chicken Tawa Kebab Recipe

Ingredients: (Makes – 10-12 Chicken Kebabs)

  • Boneless Chicken – 1 Cup
  • Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  • Coriander powder – ½ tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
  • Garam masala/chicken masala – ½ tsp
  • Chaat Masala – ½ tsp
  • Coriander leaves – 2 Tbsp (chopped)
  • Potato – 1 medium (boiled & mashed)
  • Onion – 1 (finely chopped)
  • Bread – 1 slice (crumbled with hands)
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt

(Note: 1 Cup = 250 ml
Vary the amount of chilli as per your spice level)
Method: (With Step-by-Step Pictures)



Take the chicken pieces in a pressure cooker along with ¼ cup water, ½ tsp pepper powder, 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, salt and go for 1 whistle and immediately remove cooker from stove. Once steam goes completely open cooker and remove chicken stock if any and mince chicken with your hands.

 


To the minced chicken add all spice powders and mix well.

 


Add crumbled bread slice, finely chopped onion, coriander leaves and mashed potato and mix well. The mixture should be such that you would be able to make it to small round shapes. Vary the amount of potato accordingly. (I didn’t add coriander leaves since i dont prefer the taste much)

Make it into medium-sized round kebabs

 


Heat oil in a pan and fry the kebabs in medium heat until its brown both sides turning in between.

 


Drain excess oil in a paper towel and serve hot.
