Egg Puffs Recipe

 Ingredients:

  • Boiled Egg – 2-3
  • Puff pastry sheet – 1
  • Onion – 1 big
  • Ginger garlic paste – ½
  • Red chilli powder – ½
  • Coriander powder – ½ tsp
  • Turmeric powder – one pinch
  • Garam masala – ¼ tsp
  • Tomato Sauce – 2-3 tsp
  • Egg – 1
  • Oil – 1 Tbsp
  • Salt

 

(Note: Vary the amount of chilli as per your spice level)

Take boiled egg and slice each into two

Heat oil in a pan and add sliced onion.

Once onion becomes soft add ginger garlic paste and sauté for a min or two

Add all spice powder, salt and sauté till oil starts appearing on the sides of the pan. Remove it from stove

Take the puff pastry sheet

Cut it into medium-sized squares. Spread little tomato sauce on it

Place 1 Tbsp of prepared masala

Place half of a boiled egg

Pull the edges towards center

Pull the other edges also and press on the edges so that it sticks

Preheat the oven to 200 Deg C. Place it on the baking tray. Brush it with beaten egg and bake it in the middle rack of the oven.

Bake it for 30-35 mins or till it becomes golden brown in color. Serve hot.

    Thank you so much for the recipe. I am 16, was hungry this evening and in the mood for something with egg. I found your recipe, tried it and it turned out AWESOME. Everyone complimented me. I feel pathetic to admit that it took me almost 3 and a half hours to do it. But, it was worth the effort.

    • Hi Saira…i moved out of Mumbai almost 5 yrs back and after that started baking in full swing. So sorry to say i dont know which shop we get puff pastry.
