Spicy Beef Curry Recipe
Ingredients:
- Beef – 500g (cut into small pieces)
- Onion – 2
- Tomato – 2
- Green Chilli – 2
- Ginger garlic paste – 4 tsp
- Pepper powder – 1 ½ tsp (freshly grinded preferred)
- Kashmiri/mild chilli – ½ tsp
- Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
- Coriander powder – 1 ½ Tbsp
- Garam masala/Beef Masala – 1 tsp
- Water – ¾ cup
- Curry leaves – few
- Salt
To Temper:
- Dry red chilli – 2-3
- Small onion – 2-3 (sliced finely)
- Curry leaves – few
- Oil – 4 Tbsp
(Note: 1cup = 250 ml
Vary the amount of chilli and pepper as per your spice level)
Method: (With Step-by-step pics)
Cut beef in to small pieces
Add all spice powders, ginger garlic paste and mix well
Add onion, tomato, salt, curry leaves
Add water and mix
Pressure cook beef till beef is cooked well. (I usually go for 4-5 whistle and wait for the steam to drop completely and open the cooker)
Heat oil in a pan and add dry red chilli, sliced onion and curry leaves. Pour it over the cooked beef and bring the curry to boil again.
Cook in medium flame until the gravy thickens and oil starts appearing on the top. ( Serve the curry 3-4 hours after preparation as it takes some time for the flavors to settle)
