Easy Banana Pudding Recipe
Ingredients: (Serves 3-4)
- Custard Powder – 1 Tbsp
- Milk – 1 cup
- Sugar – 2-3 Tbsp
- Whip Cream – ½ cup
- Powdered sugar – 2 Tbsp
- Small Banana – 2-3
- Wafer Biscuit/ Cornflakes
(Note: 1 cup = 250 ml
Vary the amount of sugar as per your sweet level)
Method: (With Step-by-Step Pictures)
Take ¼ cup of milk and add the custard powder and mix well
Take remaining milk in a bowl and bring it to boil.Once it boils reduce the flame and add the milk custard mixture prepared and sugar
Stir well continuously till the mixture thickens. Remove from flame. (The custard prepared should have medium thick consistency. Refer the packet you are using to decide on the amount of custard powder required. Also keep in mind that custard thickens further once it cools)
Chill the custard prepared so that it cools well
To make the fresh cream, keep the steel bowl, whisk of the hand mixer and whip cream in the freezer for 15-20 mins. Just before you start your job take it from the freezer and pour the whip cream in the cold bowl.
In medium speed start the hand mixer and slowly increase the speed. You will notice cream starts to increase in volume. Add powdered sugar and continue to whisk until it almost doubles in volume and soft peaks are formed. Now the cream is ready.
Cut the banana into small pieces.
Take the chilled custard and add fresh cream and chopped banana to it.
Gently fold in the custard to the cream and sliced banana so that it mixed.
Take 3-4 small glass and in the bottom put a layer of crushed wafer biscuit or cornflakes
Put a layer of pudding on the top.Repeat the above 2 steps so that glass is filled. Garnish with cherry. Serve cold and Enjoy!!!!
