Chicken Balls Recipe

 

Ingredients:

  • Boneless Chicken – ¾ cup (refer notes)
  • Oil – 1 Tbsp
  • Onion – 2 Tbsp (chopped)
  • Ginger garlic paste – 1 ½ tsp
  • Garam masala – ½ tsp
  • Chilli powder – ½ tsp
  • Grated cheese – 3 Tbsp
  • Boiled Potato – 1
  • Bread – 1 slice
  • Pepper powder – ½ tsp
  • Egg – 1
  • Bread crumbs – ½ cup
  • Oil – for frying
  • Salt

 

(Note: 1 = 250 ml

Vary the amount of chilli as per your spice level)

To prepare chicken, take roughly cubed boneless chicken in a pan. Add enough water, salt, ½ tsp pepper power and ½ tsp ginger garlic paste. Cover and cook until chicken is cooked and becomes soft. Remove chicken from stock if any, allow it to cool and finely chop it. Take ¾ cup of this cooked chicken.

Heat oil in a pan and add sliced onion and sauté till it becomes soft.

Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for a min. Add spices and sauté for a min or two.

Add cooked chicken and mix well

Add cheese and mix well. Cover and cook till cheese melts. Remove from stove and allow it to cool down

Add pepper powder, mashed boiled potato, crumbled bread and salt and mix. Do a taste test now. (The mixture should be tight. Vary the amount of potato and bread accordingly)

Apply little oil to your hands and take small portions of it and make into small balls

Now dip it in beaten egg and roll it in bread crumbs

Fry in oil until golden brown. Alternatively you can bake it, brushing little butter in between

Remove excess oil in a paper towel. Serve hot.
