Vanilla Cup Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

  • All purpose flour – 1 cup
  • Baking powder – 1   tsp
  • Salt – one pinch
  • Sugar – ¾  cup
  • Sunflower oil – 1/3  cup
  • Egg – 1
  • Vanilla essence – 1 ½  tsp
  • Curd – 1/3 cup
  • Milk – 1/4 cup

(Note: 1 Cup = 250 ml.

Whenever you are mixing for the cake with hand or hand mixer, you should mix in one direction only to get soft cakes.

Make sure all the ingredients are at room temperature before you start mixing

Make sure your oven settings are correct, else cakes won’t come proper)

In a large bowl take sugar and oil. Mix with a mixer in high speed until its combined well. (I mixed in a cup as its easier to pour batter in the cupcake liners)

  1. Hi mam!
An very new to baking . I got bajaj otg to try my hands on baking . I failed so badly while making bread , buns and I got teased very badly by family . So please help me . In the above method, should the OTG be kept in BAKE mode (only bottom elements beats up) ? I stay in remote place where taking classes in baking is not ppssible

    • Dear Saradha,

First of all don’t be sad 🙂 For most of the bakers there will a story to tell. You should know your oven settings well. Most of the cases, recipe might be correct, but when oven settings go wrong it will be a disaster. My 5th Cake came proper. The settings i was choosing was not correct. Till then i was grilling my cakes :p. Ideally for baking both heating elements (top and bottom) should heat up. If its pictorial representation of setting, there will be line on top and bottom. Select that mode when you are baking. Give it a try, i am sure you will be to master baking 🙂

      Cheers
      Vimmy 🙂
