Steamed Sweet Rice balls

This is one of the easiest snack recipe using rice flour. It is very tasty and simple to make. Give a try and enjoy its taste:)

  • Rice flour – 1 cup
  • Grated coconut – ½ cup
  • Jaggery – 1 cup
  • Salt – a pinch
  • Hot water

(Note: 1 Cup = 250 ml)

Method: (With Step-by-step pics)

Mix rice flour, coconut, jaggery and salt together in a bowl.

Add hot water little by little at a time and mix well. Continue this until the dough reaches chappathi dough consistency. (It took almost 2/3 cup water for me)

Then take small portion of it and make it into balls and then press it using fingers.

Continue for the full amount of dough.

Then take idli stand and swipe little oil on the pits and put the balls over it (or else you can use steamer).

Heat little water in a cooker.

Then put this idli stand and cover it with lid without putting whistle. Cook for 15-20 minutes.

Then take it and let it cool for some time. Serve and enjoy the snack.
