Some times I feel so lazy to grind for dosa in the night, at all those time my Instant crispy dosa comes for my rescue. It doesn’t require in overnight preparation, no grinding, simple mix flour with water and your batter is ready and the dosa prepared is very crispy which is loved by everyone.
Instant Crispy Dosa Recipe
Ingredients:
- Rice Flour – ½ cup
- All purpose flour (Maida) – ½ cup
- Water – 2 cup
- Sugar – 3 tsp
- Salt
- Oil
(Note: 1 Cup = 250 ml)
Method:
- In a bowl mix together rice flour, maida sugar and salt.
- Add water (1/2 cup at a time) and mix well so that no lumps are there. (The batter prepared will be very thin unlike regular dosa batter)
- Heat a flat pan and apply a good layer of oil on the pan.
- Pour the batter from the outer rim of the pan towards inside. Swirl the pan so that outer edges are smooth and fill any bigger gaps in the middle. (You need to take twice the quantity of batter than regular dosa)

- Don’t cover the pan and allow it to cook. It will take little longer than regular dosa.
- Once the side starts becoming brown and corners start lifting up flip the dosa and cook for a min.
- Fold the dosa and remove from the pan. Serve hot.
Tips :
- Even though you are using a non-stick pan make sure that its greased well. Otherwise dosa may stick to the pan.
- How to know your tawa is hot enough to apply oil and pour the batter? Sprinkle few drops of water on the pan The water should sizzle and evaporate in 3-4 seconds. Then your pan is ready.
- Dosa should be cooked in medium-high flame.
