Rava Ladoo Recipe
Ingredients:
- Rava/Sooji – 1 ½ cup
- Ghee – 4 Tbsp
- Raisins/cashew nuts – 1 Tbsp each
- Sugar – 2/3 cup
- Desiccated coconut/grated coconut – 1/3 cup
- Cardamom – 3 pods (powdered)
- Milk – 1/3 cup
(Note: 1 cup = 250 ml
Vary the amount of sugar as per your sweet level)
Method: (With Step-by-Step Pictures)
Heat ghee in a pan
Add rava and roast it in low flame for 4-5 mins stirring continuously
Add cashew nuts and raisins and roast for another 4 mins or until rava slightly changes color
Add desiccated coconut and stir for another 2-3 mins
Add sugar and mix well for a min
Add cardamom powder and mix well
Add milk little at a time, mixing well after each addition (vary the amount of milk based on when you are able to roll it)
You will notice sugar is dissolved and milk is absorbed and mixture is such that you will be able to make it to ladoos. Now switch of the stove.
Apply little ghee in your hands and while the mixture is still warm make it to lemon sized balls.
