4 Min Microwave Chocolate Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
- All purpose flour (Maida)– ½ cup
- Egg – 1
- Baking powder – 3 pinch
- Baking Soda – 1 pinch
- Cocoa powder – 1 ½ Tbsp
- Sugar – 1/3 cup
- Vegetable oil – ¼ cup
- Buttermilk – ¼ cup
- Coffee – ¼ cup
- Chocolate sauce – 1/3 Cup
(Note: 1 Cup = 250 ml
While mixing, mix in one direction only to get good cakes.
Its important that you pour the chocolate sauce on the warm cake to make it moist. For chocolate sauce recipe click here.
Alternatively you can melt 2 Tbsp of butter. Add 1 Tbsp of cocoa powder to it. Add 4 Tbsp of powdered sugar and 2 Tbsp of milk to it and mix well and pour it over the cake prepared. You can vary the amount of sugar as per your sweet level.
Unlike the cake prepared in conventional oven, cake prepared in microwave in microwave mode will be dry. The sauce part helps to make it moist. So please don’t skip that step. Take it as an easy recipe to make cake fast, when your little ones are behind you for cake 🙂 )
Method: (With Step-by-Step Pictures)
In a bowl whisk together flour, baking powder and baking soda and keep it ready. In another bowl take sugar and vegetable oil.
Mix until its combined well
Add egg and mix well. Add cocoa powder
Mix well
Add all purpose flour ¼ cup at a time and gently mix. (If you are finding it difficult to mix add buttermilk in between)
Add butter milk and gently mix. (Butter milk should have dosa batter consistency)
Add coffee and finally gently mix so that everything is combined.
Take a microwave safe bowl and apply oil or cooking spray on the bowl. Pour the batter evenly into the bowl
Place it in microwave
Microwave in high powder for 4 mins.
Check if it cooked proper by inserting a tooth pick in the center of cake. It should come out clean. If not cooked proper, microwave again for 30 sec and check.
When the cake is still warm pour warm chocolate sauce on the top of cake. (Don’t skip this part)Allow the cake to cool down completely. Cut it. Serve and Enjoy !!!!!!
