Mysore Pak Recipe
Ingredients:
- Beasn – ½ cup
- Sugar – 1 cup
- Water – ¼ cup
- Ghee – ¾ cup
- Oil – 3 Tbsp
- Cardamom powder – ¼ tsp
(Note: 1 Cup = 250 ml)
Method: (With Step-by-step pics)
Grease a plate with ghee and keep it ready
Take ghee in a pan and in low flame heat it until its melted completely
Remove it from stove and add besan
Mix well so that no lumps are there and keep it aside
Take sugar and water in a pan
Bring it to boil to one string consistency.(To check one string consistency, take a drop between your fingers and when you separate fingers a string will be formed)
Now add the besan ghee mixture and cardamom powder.
In low to medium flame keep stirring continuously, you will notice mixture starts to thicken up.
When mixture starts to becomes frothy, add oil to the sides and stir again. You will notice it will froth again and will starts leaving sides of pan
Transfer the same to the greased plate. Level it with the help of back of spoon
Slice into pieces. Allow it to cool down fully and separate into pieces. Serve and enjoy!!!!
