Easy Nankhatai Recipe
Ingredients: (Makes 12 cookies)
- All purpose flour/Maida – 1 cup
- Baking soda – ½ tsp
- Powdered sugar – 3 Tbsp
- Vanilla essence – 1 tsp
- Ghee – ½ cup (melted and cooled)
(Note: 1 cup = 250 ml
Vary the amount of sugar as per your sweet level)
Method: (With Step-by-Step Pictures)
In a bowl mix together flour, baking soda and powdered sugar
Add in vanilla essence
Add ghee little at a time and start mixing
Knead until u get a dough together (Vary the amount of ghee to get the dough together)
Keep it in the fridge for 1 hr. Remove from fridge. Take out small portions of it
Make it into balls and place on a baking tray lined with butter paper
Preheat the oven to 160 degree. Bake in the middle rack for 15-20 mins or till to start getting the baked smell in your kitchen. Allow the nankhatais to cool down completely. Once it cools down only you get the correct texture for the nankhatais. Enjoy!!!!
A small doubt. Instead of ghee can I use canola oil. Will it come out the same texture taste I know will not be

I won’t suggest using oil. It won’t come proper.You can substitute it with butter, but taste will be different.
