Vegetable Puffs Recipe
Ingredients: (Makes – 9 Puffs)
- Puff pastry sheet – 1
- Boiled Potato – 3 medium (cut into small pieces)
- Frozen Green Peas – ¼ cup
- Onion – 1 small
- Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
- Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
- Garam masala – 1 tsp
- Oil – 2 Tbsp
(Note: You can use vegetables of your choice.
The vegetable stuffing prepared should be spicy. Since we are stuffing it inside puff pastry its intensity reduces.
1 Cup = 250 ml )
Method: (With Step-by-Step Pictures)
Heat oil in a pan and add sliced onion. Once onion becomes soft add ginger garlic paste and sauté for a min or two
Add all spice powder, salt and sauté till oil starts appearing on the sides of the pan.
Add green peas and mix well
Add boiled potato pieces and mix well so that the masala get evenly distributed. Do a taste test for salt. Now the stuffing part is ready.
Preheat the oven to 200 Deg C. Take a baking tray and line it with a butter paper.
Take the puff pastry sheet and cut it into medium-sized rectangles.
Place 1 ½ Tbsp of prepared masala on the puff pastry on one side
Fold it and press on the edges.
Place it on the baking tray without touching each other. Brush it with oil and bake it in the middle rack of the oven.
Bake it for 25-30 mins or till it becomes golden brown in color. Serve hot.
