Fish Curry with Coconut Milk Recipe
Ingredients: (Serves 4-5)
- Fish – 500g cut into medium pieces
- Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
- Fennel seeds – ¼ tsp
- Small Onion – 1/3 cup
- Ginger garlic paste – 4 tsp
- Green chilli – 4-5
- Red chilli powder – 3/4 tsp (optional)
- Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
- Coriander powder – 2 tsp
- Cocum (kudampuli) – 2-3
- Thin coconut milk – 1 ¾ cup
- Thick coconut milk – ¾ cup
- Curry leaves – few
- Oil – 5 tbsp
(Note: 1 cup = 250 ml, Vary the amount of chilli as per your spice level. After cooking if you feel the taste of cocum is more, immediately remove one pieces from the curry)
Method: (With Step-by-Step Pictures)
Cut fish into medium sized pieces
Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds. Then add fennel seeds.
Add crushed small onion and curry leaves and saute till onion becomes soft.
Add thin coconut milk and wait till it starts boiling.
