Pal Payasam (Rice Kheer in Cooker)

- Milk – 1 Litre
- Sugar – 2/3 cup
- Basmati Rice – ¼ cup
- Cardamom Powder – ¼ tsp
- Ghee – 5 tbsp
- Cashew nuts – 3 tbsp
- Wash basmati rice and keep it ready
- Take milk in the cooker and bring it to boil. (I used 4 liter pressure cooker)
- Now add 2 tbsp ghee, sugar and basmati rice and mix well.
- Cover the cooker with lid and put the cooker weight.
- Cook in low flame for 45 min. (Make sure its low flame itself, no whistle should be there)
- Now remove from stove and open cooker once steam goes completely. (The payasm would be thick and will be peach in color)
- Add cardamom powder and mix well.
- Heat remaining ghee in a pan and fry cashew nuts and pour it over the payasam prepared.
