Nadan Chicken Fry

Ingredients
  • Chicken – 500g (Cut into medium size pieces)
  • Oil – To fry
  • To Marinate:
  • Chilli powder – ¾ tsp
  • Kashmiri chilli powder – ½ tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste – 3 tsp
  • Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
  • Pepper Powder – ½ tsp
  • Lemon juice – 2 tsp
  • Curry leaves – a handful
  • Salt
Instructions
  1. Clean and wash the chicken pieces. Squeeze it well so as remove water well from it.
  2. Mix all the ingredients to marinate. Sprinkle little water into it and make it to a paste. Add cleaned chicken into it and keep it for half an hour.
  3. Take the marinated chicken in a pressure cooker. Cover it with the lid without putting the cooker whistle. Steam the same. ( A steady steam should come for 2 min)
  4. Open the cooker and if stock is there, cook without putting the lid till chicken is fully dry.
  5. Heat oil in a nonstick pan and add chicken pieces and curry leaves.
  6. Fry in medium- high flame until chicken pieces are brown in color.
  7. Server hot.
  8. Tips:
  9. Always put curry leaves when you are frying chicken pieces. It will give a good taste.
