Yam fry

 

Yam, a traditional dish, can be used to make a variety of dishes. Yam deep fry is one of my favorite dish among that. It is yummy and crispy and you can easily make a ry.


 

Easy Yam fry Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Yam – 400 gm
  • Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
  • Chilli powder – 1 tsp
  • Salt
  • Oil

 

Method (With step by step pics)

 

Take yam. Soak it in water for 15 minutes. Clean its mud and then peel of its skin.

 

Slice it as shown in the pic.

 

Again chop each slice into small pieces.

 

Pour enough water so that entire yam is dipped in water.

 

Add turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt.

 

Put it for boiling. Cover it with lid. Cook it until it becomes soft. It will take about 7-8 minutes.

 

Then drain it well.

 

Then heat oil in a pan for deep frying.

 

Put the yam and cover it with lid.

 

When it turns light brown colour, turn its side.

 

Fry it for about 10 minutes or until the entire pieces turn light brown colour.

 

Then put it into tissue to remove excess oil. Serve and enjoy with meals:)
